2015 has been a successful year for all of us in Bodegas Martín Códax. The important awards received become a milestone in the history of our wines, as several of our main brands have been awarded important distinctions both nationally and abroad.

Our commitment to R&D together with the position of our vinegrowers towards the grape quality result in a continuous increase of the quality in our wines.

Projects such as the Cenit Demeter, Viñas Atlánticas or InterGaleno; researches such as the Albaroma, the use of different trellising systems or remote teledetection allow our vineyard managers and winemakers to reach a deep knowledge on the albariño grape, hence transferring this to our wines.

Extremely important is also the continuous monitoring and personal advising to our shareholders, always aware of the improvement in quality. Vinegrowers who give priority to the quality of the grapes and who pamper the grapes from the first to the last step in order to reach the best possible raw material.

This work and effort is recognized by different awards, the most important as follows:

  • Martín Códax: Golden Bacchus by the UEC and Best White Wine by the Guía Gourmets 2016.
  • Martín Códax Lías: Best Unoaked White Wine in Spain by the AEPEV.
  • Martín Códax Vindel: Best White Wine by the wine guide of the Semana Vitivinícola magazine.
  • Organistrum: Gold Medal at the Sommelier Wine Awards, UK.
  • Martín Códax Gallaecia: Gran Oro by the Guía de Vinos, Destilados y Bodegas de Galicia.
