Womex 2014 fair

Once again, Bodegas Martín Códax and the culture walk together. On this occasion, Martín Códax, was the official wine of Womex 2014, the most important international professional fair of World Music that exists at present and that took place by the first time in Santiago.
The fair was inaugurated on the 22nd of October and remained in the Galician capital until Sunday the 26th. It had different activities, as a commercial fair, a festival showcase, programs of conferences, cinema and concerts of opening and closure in which the annual prizes were delivered. In all these activities, attendants, nearly 2600 people, could enjoy our albariño so linked to Galician culture.
Among more than 300 musicians invited to Womex 2014, some of them as Uxía, Zambujo, Mercedes Peón or Budiño, were already protagonists of the cycle of concerts that the winery celebrates in the months of summer, “Os Xoves de Códax” and went to this fair as representatives of the Galician and Portuguese music to the highest level.
In conclusion, a great opportunity for the Galician music and for the international projection of our culture that situated Santiago de Compostela in the world epicenter of the music.
