Prizes of 1000Caminos goes to Granada, Ponferrada and Barcelona

The Museum of Peregrinations of Santiago de Compostela picked this past Friday, February 21st, the awards ceremony for the photographic and literary contest “1,000 Caminos“, in its third edition presented by Martin Códax.

The prizes, in their respective sections,fall in:

- Best photography:  ¨A lo lejos¨, by Jose Juan Torres, resident of Granada. He was awarded with a trip to France, concretely to Paris and La Borgoña.

- Best secret guideLa fuente de Montes“, by Daniel Sánchez Enjuto, from Ponferrada. He was awarded with trip to Italy (Venice and La Toscana). 

- Best literary story:  “Tres ojos“, Aitana Such Faro, resident  of Barcelona.  The prize consists of a trip to Frankfurt and the Mosel, in Germany.

Each trip includes a stay of 3 days in a city and 3 other days in a winegrowing zone with a visit to a wine cellar. 

The jury of the contest, to which next to 1000 works were presented, was integrated by Cristóbal Ramírez, President of Journalist of Camino de Santiago Asociation, as the president; José Martínez Chantada, President of Bodegas Martin Códax that served as secretary; and Xoán A. Soler (professional photographer), Manuel González (President of Press Asosciation in A Coruña) and Isabel Freire journalist), as main members. 

Our contest “1,000 Caminos” has given besides other 81 chosen prizes through the open voting in the web 1000caminos.com, in which more than 100.000 visits were registered.

The next saturday, first of march, the forth edition of 1000Caminos will start. A new oportunity for pilgrims to share their experiencies. A new chace to go on with the adventure. If you have walked the Camino and when you arrived to Santiago, you thought: And now? What?, Now is the moment to find your place in 1000Caminos, the meeting point for Camino’s lovers.
