Within the framework of the thematic tastings organized by the D.O. Rías Baixas for the  Albariño´s Festival in Cambados, Bodegas Martín Códax will celebrate two tastings, given by the winemaker and manager of production Katia Álvarez.

The first of them, will take place on Thursday the 31st of July from the 19 hours in the Room Jose Peña and takes  for title: “Blessed Maturity: special elaborations of Martín Códax”. The public that attends this tasting, will be able to taste the wines with more complex elaborations of the wineryr: Martín Códax Lías, Organistrum and Martín Códax Gallaecia and to understand the process of elaboration of each of them. Processes that give account of the versatility of thealbariño grape and his potential.

The day after, on Friday the 1st of August at 11 in the morning, will start  the tasting “Martín Códax: albariños of terroirs”. On this occasion the tasting will be focused in one of the projects of research of the winery to know about the differences of the albariño grape cultivated in three subareas of Rías Baixas: Condado,  El Rosal and Salnés Valley.

With this project, the climatic and orográficas characteristics of every area were incubated, analyzing all the differences found between them and also the organolépticas differences and sensorial of the wines resulting of every area.
Like this, in the tasting, themselves they will be able to tastealbariño 100% of the area of the County, characterized for being wines with a modern profile but in turn sober and serious and very aromatic in the retronasal phase; albariño 100% of the Rosebush, with one more profile afrutado and tropical and albariño 100% of the Valley of the Salnés, which present a great fineness and elegance in mouth and nose.

The public of this tasting will be able to check the land effect in the wines and the potential of every area.

To be able to attend the tastings, entries will be available in Jose Peña Room. The entry also gives right to visit the Tunnel of the Wine
