Our Martín Códax Lías was selected by the magazine Hostelería Gallega & Turismo as the Best Galician White Wine of Special Elaboration.
The tasting was carried out recently in the Hotel Oca Galatea in Portonovo (Sanxenxo) and they had the advice of the Galician Association of Tasters (AGASU). After a first selection of 30 samples, the experts valued each of the wines and, finally, proclaimed as winner the Martín Códax Lías, so much in the general category as in that of Lías and Rías Baixas.
We have been already several years betting for the versatility of the grape albariño that allows, through different elaborations, to create not only new wines, but wines that persist in the time and that allow having different vintages in the market in a simultaneous way. It is about wines, as Martín Códax Lías that it has lee on his own , that they are much more complex and with more wealth of nuances for the consumer. Wines with great aromatic potential, perfect balance and very subtle that they are at the height and they even surpass the ones elaborated with other viticulture varieties confirmed of the world and that entered to form part already of the big international white wines.
