We’re kicking off a new wine tourism season in the heart of Rías Baixas

Wine Tourism

We are kicking off a new season of wine tourism with activities that invite you to discover Albariño from different perspectives. This year, we are expanding our program with new exclusive experiences and the upcoming reopening of Pé Redondo, our viticultural research center in the heart of the Val do Salnés.

Today we kick off a new season of wine tourism at Bodegas Martín Códax, reinforcing our commitment to experiences that allow visitors to discover the world of Albariño from different perspectives. This year, we have designed a program that expands and diversifies our offerings for visitors, combining wine, the local region, and Atlantic cuisine.

Among this season’s main new features, we present Mar de fondo, an exclusive experience designed for those seeking a more leisurely and unique approach to wine. We offer a special selection of wines from our cellar, paired with a carefully curated culinary menu, all in a stunning setting that invites you to savor the wine with calm and depth.

Alongside this new offering, we continue to provide our most established experiences. Orixe is our signature tour, where we invite you to discover the origins of Bodegas Martín Códax, our cooperative philosophy, and the winemaking process. The experience concludes with a guided wine tasting accompanied by Galician cheeses.

It also continues Ondas do mar, a concept that pairs our wines with Atlantic cuisine through a harmonious blend of wines and locally sourced gourmet preserves. And for those who wish to explore more exclusive creations, Unique Creations offers the opportunity to discover limited-production wines and unique winemaking projects that reflect our more experimental side.

In addition to all these experiences, we offer wine tastings on our terrace overlooking the Ría de Arousa and at our Barra Atlántica, where you can enjoy our wines in a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere without needing to make a reservation.

We’re reopening Pé Redondo in April

Our wine tourism offerings will also expand starting April 1 with the reopening of Pé Redondo, our wine tourism and viticultural research center located in the heart of the Val do Salnés. It is a unique space where research, sustainability, and outreach come together around the world of winemaking.

Through guided tours, visitors will be able to explore this unique vineyard and see firsthand some of the projects we are working on, such as the development of disease-resistant varieties, adaptation to climate change, and new farming methods.

The experience is rounded out with a wine tasting in a stunning natural setting. Pé Redondo offers a glimpse into the research we’ve been conducting for over two decades at this experimental vineyard and completes our wine tourism experience by providing a broader perspective on wine: from its origins in the vineyard and its production in the winery to the innovative projects that will shape the future of Atlantic viticulture.

As this new season begins, we aim to further establish ourselves as a leader in wine tourism in the Rías Baixas and Galicia, focusing on experiences that bring together wine, scenery, culture, and innovation.
