Martín Códax Lías, Best New White Wine of Spain

The AEPEV choses the albariño Martín Códax Lías as the Best White Wine without oak of Spain in a tasting with more than 600 wines.

A total of 640 spanish wines were presented to the tasting of the Spanish Association of Journalists and Writers of the Wine (AEPEV). Only one of them got  the award of Best New White Wine of Spain (without oak).

One may not miss that Martín Códax Lías obtained numerous prizes and the best punctuations in the most prestigious guides in 2014:  silver medal in the competition Mono Viños, gold medal in the Guide of Wines and Spirits of Galicia, 93 points in the guide Peñín , 94 points in the guide Gourmets, 95 points in the guide Proensa

The members of the AEPEV chose Martín Códax Lías, in a double-turn vote but we will still have to wait for the next 10th of April to be able to pick the prize that will be delivered in the course of a soiree celebrated in Montilla (Córdoba).

Directed by María Isabel Mijares, the AEPEV is a society without spirit of profit that reaches the whole of Spain territorially. Constituted by professionals who exert the communication of the wine and its area its main goal is to defend the wine as healthy drink and the image of the sector in the mass media and in the face of the public opinion in general as well as to represent the group that forms it.
